July 2019

The garden is just blooming with the alternate heat and rain.  Every spare moment is busy trying to keep order.  I do love it though !

The river bank is doing well and the cleared access slope  makes life easier as it means no steps to negotiate.  In the heat, visitors have enjoyed sitting cooling off in the breeze which the water produces.  The grandchildren have enjoyed swimming.

I have just put an advert on www.yorkshireholidays.com and enjoyed all the complimentary comments by the visiting gentleman.  Hopeful it will generate more trade.  October is looking very unbooked at the  moment and still a few odd days free in August.

Another lovely photo, Ray. I like the idea of that cleared access slope.

Will be a long time before you need to use it !
Maybe on the way up after your favourite occupation whilst sitting watching the river !

My favourite occupation indeed. As long as I don't drop any of my ale bottles! April does seem a long way off.
By the way, Vida loves that photo - and the ones on your Facebook page.

Just watched the reports of the flooding and swept away bridge at Grinton Moor on TV. I cannot believe how bad it is where you are. The reports make for grin viewing.

Sorry, Ray - typo. I meant grim viewing. Nothing to grin about at all.
