COVID CHANGE


 

NEW PROCEDURES DURING CURRENT COVID-19 SITUATION

 

The hazard is the pandemic and the risk is spreading the virus

By co-operating together we can minimise this risk on our site 

 

The garden is blooming, the river flowing and the cottages prepared

PRIOR TO ARRIVAL

1. FIRST CHECK IF YOU SHOULD SET OFF

Follow government guidance:

Stay at home for at least 7 days if you have any covid-19 symptoms: these include

-    a new continuous cough

-    a high temperature (37.5 deg of above)

-    loss or change in normal sense of taste or smell.

 

Self isolate at home for 14 days if anyone in your household has covid-19 symptoms, or you or anyone in your household has been in contact with anyone with covid-19 symptoms

. 

2. YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER bringing the following items with you:

-    personal protection, hand sanitizer, disposable gloves, face mask

-    head rests on upholstered furniture will be newly washed, but if wishing to cover all the furniture you could bring throws

-    Pillows have a breathable waterproof covering, a thick cotton under pillow slip and a top cover. The top two will be replaced between lets

If you are happier bringing your own please let us know so we can remove ours

Remember to maintain social distancing during your journey

 

ON ARRIVAL

Please respect social distancing at all times 

Your cottage will be open with the key inside, let us know you have arrived

If calling at the house, ring the bell and step backwards from the door 

Please remember to wash your hands on arrival and frequently thereafter.

 

Following Government guidelines we have made some changes inside the cottages, 

by minimising items available. This is to facilitate cleansing and reduce risk of viral spread.

    There will be NO milk, welcome packs, hand cream or shampoo

 

    Spare bedding and excess kitchen equipment has been removed, as have jigsaws, books and leaflets

    There will be antibacterial hand wash in kitchen, and hand wash in bathroom

    There are new lighter king size duvet covers for use without top sheet

    Cushions will be limited to 3, and alternated each change over

  

DURING STAY

     Excess kitchen items have been placed in less accessible cupboards which will be labelled - please do not use. Everyone so far has said there is ample of everything

ON DEPARTURE

   Please open upstairs windows wide as early as possible to aid ventilation 

   Open downstairs windows and patio to a catproof width

   A separate list is in the cottage with more details

  

ADDITIONAL CLEANING MEASURES

In addition to our usual high standard of cleaning, we are adding further sanitising procedures for your safety.

   Mattresses and upholstery will be hoovered and treated with UVC rays

   Mattresses, fabrics surfaces, carpets and floors will be sprayed with anti bacterial spray

   All surfaces will be washed with hot soapy water, and then sanitized as we exit

   Light switches, doorknobs, handrails, remote controls will receive special treatment

With co-operation and care we hope to be able to remain open to provide relaxing holidays in the beautiful Swaledale setting
